FAQ

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Yes i do. The prices for a destination wedding are not shown on my website. Please Email me to chat about your destination wedding!

Will there be a second shooter?

No. It is just me! I do not need a second shooter personally. I manage to get around and get every shot i need solo! Check out my work for your own opinion and email me for any furthur questions related to a second shooter!

Can I extend the session on the day of?

It all depends if i have other sessions or events planned and taking place. If i am open with no future plans we can definitely talk about it!

What kind of gear do you use?

I use all canon body cameras and lens!

Do I have to order prints through you?

Yes, you can! You are also free to download any purchased image or image included and available for download. Printing rights are included, take it anywhere unless otherwise stated.

When is payment due?

Full payment is due at time of booking for every standard, deluxe and Ultimate session.

And a deposit is required when book any wedding.

Do you accept refunds?

Unfortunately i do not accept refunds. All payments are final.

What happens if i cancel?

Any deluxe or ultimate session booked is allowed up to 1 cancellation with a 48 hour notice unless a emergency situation can be proven.

Any cancellation after will require a re-booking/cancellation fee; 50$;100$;150$ ect.
I do not accept cancellations for a standard session.

No refunds will be returned for cancellations. Booking a session with me is not just a purchase, you are booking my time and my talent.

Do you deliver every image you shoot?

I will go through and take time to pick out the very best images from our session. Each session offers a different number of images included. I will provide extra images available for purchase as well.

Do you have a studio?

No, i do not have a studio. Each standard , deluxe and ultimate session will be at a outdoor location. Lifestyle, weddings and newborn sessions can be indoors or outdoors.

Do you shoot Quinceaneras, Debutants, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, or Corporate Events?

Yes. These are all considered ‘event photography.’ we would love to cover your celebration.

I have downtime between events on my wedding day. Will I be charged for that downtime?

For a variety of reasons, we have to charge for the time in between events. Depending on what session you book, your time may be limited. The fact is, we’re never truly resting during the day, whether we’re backing up images, setting up for the second venue, traveling to the second location, taking venue shots, or making up for lost photo time because of unforeseen wedding day delays. In many cases, we use that “downtime” to take you and your significant other out for a photo session or more family portraits.

When can we expect to see our photos from our session?

Post-production for engagement sessions are completed 4-6 weeks after the date of the shoot.
Post-production for weddings are 8-12 weeks.
Post-production for family sessions , casual & lifestyle is 2-3 weeks.
Post-production for senior sessions is 2-4 weeks.

When should we do our engagement session?

We encourage you to do your engagement session as soon as possible. The latest we suggest is at least 10-12 weeks prior to the wedding date due to the time necessary to post produce each image and complete your product order(s). Where and how do we see and access our images?

Every session booked with Kept Moments Photography will include a online gallery where you are able to access all your images. From your gallery you can download images to your phone or home computer. You are also able to purchase prints and share your images to social media. After your images are ready for you i will send you a email that will include access to your gallery and your gallery password.

What rights do I have to the digital prints?

You have the right to reprint images whenever and wherever you want. However, you may not sell your images for profit or publish your images without my written consent

Do you provide the RAW files from my engagement session and/or wedding day?

Each of our packages comes with a full resolution image download. However, we typically do not provide RAW (unprocessed) files from our shoots because we believe in delivering a finished product. In fact, we’re often shooting with the end (post-produced) product in mind.

What if I lose my images?

Your online gallery will eventually expire. You may come back to your gallery as often as you like. Once it is expired ( 6-12 months after your wedding) your photos will be gone from my access. You will receive a gallery expiration warning email before your gallery is gone forever. We strongly suggest you make at least one copy of the download when you receive it from us.

Do you back up our images? How can we ensure that our images won’t be lost?

We have never lost an image from a wedding due to the following backup workflow for each our events:
During the event, we shoot on two cards at the same time. This instantly creates a backup of every image in the camera. Afterward, we separate the primary cards from the backup cards, should anything happen to one set. We then back up the images to a local server set up in a RAID 1 configuration, as well as copy them to an offsite hard drive. At any given point before delivery of the images, there are two copies of the files in separate locations.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes. Many venues require the photographer to have Liability Insurance. So before hiring Uncle Joe, make sure he’s covered.

We’re very busy and won’t be able to meet. Are there any other options?

We would love to meet with you prior to our engagement shoot or wedding; however, if you’re too busy or too far away, we can handle everything remotely. Just let us know what information you need and we will do our best to accommodate your request. For example, if you would like to see more of our work, we can gladly show you complete events online. If you would like to talk about packages and get a sense of the photographer’s personality, telephone calls, and webcam appointments can be arranged.

If we cancel the wedding, will we receive our retainer/deposit fee back?

Unfortunately no. Retainer/deposit fees are used to reserve your date. Once we’ve reserved your date, we do not accept new clients for your date.

If we change our wedding to a different date, will we be able to use our retainer fee towards a future date?

Generally no, but this is taken on a case by case basis. The reason for canceling and our availability is taken into account. Also, if rates change from your original date to your new date, the new rates will apply.

What if i dont like my pictures?

No refunds are granted and i apologize if my style and techniques did not work for you. Please make sure to look over my portfolio and ask me any questions to make sure i am a good fit for you before booking a session with me!

Can i bring friends or family to my session if they are not in the photos?

I love friends and family who are great support systems but i highly recommend not to bring someone for the side lines. I only recommend to bring someone if it is needed for pets, children and disabled. I will ask any person you bring to a engagement session to keep a distant.

What happens if we realize we booked the wrong photographer on accident?
